340 Final: Overview
|
This was the final version- animation. It was the forth project in a series of projects that took the entire semester. |
The process started with the first project. This involved creating an outdoor scene lit in three different times of day. The first two shots involved finding and creating a camera angle for the scene. This ended up being changed by the lighting examples. After this, I went with sunrise, afternoon, and sunset. For the most part, I had to focus on the layout of the scene. The exception was sunset, which started as a much more nighttime like scene. The credits include what was used in the final versions of each scene. |

The second project continued the process. This one involved creating an indoor scene lit to invoke three separate emotions. The camera angle in these shots stayed consistent between them. The credits include what was used indoors in the final versions of each scene. |
The third project was to choose one scene from each of the previous two projects, and then create still frames from the scenes. As seen from the four frames, my original intent was to have the Morpheus character arrive to the scene and then fall asleep in the chair. However, upon creating the outdoor close up shot, I found I did not like the way the light hit his back, and preferred if it hit his face. I also enjoyed how the sunlight cascaded in through the windows, so I simply reversed the flow, and had the Morpheus character instead wake up from a nap and leave instead. After this, it was simply adjusting the lighting to get the best look, along with updating Morpheus's textures. The credits include everything seen in the scenes, and is also the credits for the final, animated version. |
